Okay so you don't believe in all  this "religious mumbo-jumbo".
I have a mouse story to tell you.  This may give you a perspective  that have not considered.

My brother-in-law read another paragraph in the book of John (which is
4th book of the New Testament) and the third paragraph:

" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and
only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but          have eternal life."

God, whom I respectfully called "the man upstairs" sent his son downstairs
so-to-speak and then men killed him by crucifying him. He was the only man that ever lived that never sinned against God and when you read the rest of the bible you realize that he was different. For instance: he healed a man who was born blind and no one had ever done before. He healed lepers, lame men and he even raised his friend from the dead. The only explanation was that he was God who had visited earth in human form. What was odd was that he never pushed that topic on anyone, he just let them decide for themselves.

His friends un-nailed his corpse from the cross and laid it in a cold stone tomb. 3 days later, when you would have expected his body to be decaying, he arose from the dead himself just as he predicted that he would. He was God alright and this was proof of it. Now this would be a little suspicious if just a few people saw him then you could say that they made up the story to keep this "cult thing" going after his death but he appeared on different occasions to over 500 people over a period of 40 days eating fish and bread with them.

Now here is something else to consider:
He had 12 men that he chose that followed him around and he taught them things over a 3 year period.
11 of the 12 of these guys were killed for talking about this event at the tomb. Some of them were tortured and even crucified themselves. They were killed for what they believed because they saw him alive! Now suppose they didn't see him alive —do you think they would have layed down their lives for something that they knew was not true? People have died for causes they believe in, but people don't die for a cause that they know is not true. They met their own deaths knowing that they saw Jesus crucified and very much dead and three days later they ate bread and fish with him.

On the fortieth day after the tomb incident he was quietly lifted up into the sky after he had finished teaching his friends on a mountain near Jerusalem. Some angels were there on the ground with his friends and they told them that he was coming back exactly like he left.

10 days later these guys were in a room hiding out when Jesus sent another one just like him (from heaven) into the room where they were praying and he went into these men. He was the Holy Spirit. He was the one that Jesus promised to send. He came and took up residence inside the 120 men and women who believed.

When I got down on my knees to pray back in 1974 this same Holy Spirit came to me and spoke to me of my need for Him. I talked to him outloud for the first time in my life without it being some sort of memorized prayer that I had learned in church. I told him that I wasn't worthy to take this gift that he was offering but I asked him to come into my life and change me from the inside.

I felt foolish, but at the same time I felt a weight lift from my shoulders and it was a good feeling. I wondered if it would last or just be a passing thing. I woke up the next morning and something felt different. It was like I had unseen person in the room with me. He was there. He didn't leave me. As weird as it sounds he never left. He has been there for the last 11, 497 mornings even as I write this on the internet. I mess up and he is still there. I try to walk away from him and he brings me back.

I don't understand why Jesus would do this for me. I am such an average person. I don't stand out in a crowd. I don't have any charisma or any
special reason why he would pay any attention to me. I guess that it is the wonderful part of my story is that he chose to love me. I didn't choose to love him.

Do you think it is a coincidence that you have found yourself reading my story? Most people don't click through to this point. Most people when they find out that this is a "religious story" hit the back button on the browser but you chose to read on. You have at least a curiosity about how to get connected to him.

Got a question? E-Mail me and I will take the time to write you back.

Thanks for taking a few minutes out of your day to spend with me.
