The
Amish Warehouse Company
Our company is located near the largest Amish settlement in
the United States. Many of the Amish settled into
this area because of the fertile farm land that was available
in the area. Generations of Amish grew up on the farms amongst
the rolling Ohio hills in the heartland of our country and
the need for new jobs was on the increase since farming had
some inherent limitations for livelyhood. Many of
the Amish learned the woodworking trades and perfected their
techniques over several generations to create a very thriving
furniture industry. The wares are hand-made and have
the uniqueness of not being mass produced. No corners are
cut in the quality and the Amish have created some of the
finest furniture money can buy.
With the introduction of the internet we decided to
create an Amish online experience that resembled the mood
and feel of taking a Fall trip to Amish country itself.
The farm scene at the top of our site is an active Amish farm.
We spent countless hours graphically creating the ambiance
of Holmes County in all its simplicity. We understood along
the way that normal English folk had a curiosity to know the
Amish ways and society and we felt the need to educate on
the culture.
Our intention is not to proselytize but simply to tell you
about the way things are in the Amish life. You won't find
us putting up much of a fuss about our company name and trying
to get recognition about our particular manufacturer branding.
We simply figured that if you are satisfied you will buy the
wares and tell others as well.
Underside view showing the coating process on unseen areas
You won't find cheap plastic drawer slides or doors that don't
quite close right. The stains we use are very warm and inviting.
The finish we use is sealed with a catylized
coating that protects your investment
from a hot cup of coffee to allow you to use your furniture
for its intended purpose —function.
We expect you to put coffee on our coffee tables. The unseen
undersides of our furniture are sealed to keep moisture from
lessening your decades of use. We have standardized the finishes
to enable you to order a piece to match ten years down the
road when you decide to add to you heirloom collection.
Our process is not quick and
we make no apologies for the amount of time it takes to create
your order. We keep a steady pace and will deliver
your order when we say we will deliver it barring any unforseen
circumstances that would prevent its completion.
We are not perfect and will on occasion make mistakes but
you can count on us to make it right because you are our best
advertisement. If you are not happy with your purchase we
will do what we can to make you satisfied with your purchase.
We pay attention to aesthetics and are aware of the
innate desire of all of us to be surrounded by order and beauty.
We put the extras where it counts not necessarily where it
is seen.
We build our furniture for you, but ultimately we
build it for your grandchildren who will remember the conversation
and laughter around your dinner table and not the dinner table
itself. But it speaks of a time when things are solid
and dependable. We also build our furniture for us and if
it gets shipped to you it has already gone through an inspection
process of the most critical kind.
Our wares are the "best-of-breed" among
the Amish and we do not commission the "green" manufacturers
but only the seasoned that can yield a consistent result on
every order. It is our hope that you will not only
make your repeat purchases with us but that you will slow
your day down long enough to read about a way of life that
emphasizes quality of life rooted in a man's faith in God
and not the speed of life and the emptiness of pursuing wealth.
